Khalid Omar's blog from Karachi stands out not only because of its simple design but also due to the well-arranged content that caters to people from all sorts of backgrounds. Topics range from news and computing to movie and book reviews. There's also a nice collection of pictures from Khalid's tours all over Pakistan, so if you're living abroad feeling nostalgic about your homeland, then this section is especially for you.

2. Adnan.org

If design is what appeals to you, then expatriate Adnan Arif’s blog will leave you thoroughly impressed. In fact, the funky layout is so good that it has been replicated by a Turkish site, as well as byother Adnans in Pakistan. The blog entries make an interesting read with comments and quotes that are usually not found in search engine results. However what will surely get you glued are the other fun sections in the blog such as the ‘brain freeze’ where you can find blogging bloopers. Another section that will surely tickle your fancy is the ‘freakiest wink’ where one can submit amusing pictures, though this one needs to be updated frequently. Also don’t forget to click the radio button, the guest book and the download sections.

3. World@haydur

www.haydur.com
If you consider that it took Haydur two whole years to figure out his blogging site, you wouldn’t think he did much work in that time frame. Design-wise, thorough planning is visible in terms of arrangement of the blog entries. Other highlights of the site include a search engine, calendar and a links section (cool mouseovers!). As for the Pakistani chap living the American dream, this is what he has to say about himself: “I am just an ordinary guy living somewhere in New York State and enjoying a hectic immigrant life full of depressions, car troubles, betrayals, nose bleeding, neglect and the occasional moments of joy”.

4. Procrastination

www.zackvision.com/weblog/
Why did Zack choose to call his blog “Procrastination” and also define the term inthe header? Don’t we all procrastinate when we make our blog entries? Apart from that tiny gaffe, Zack has done a pretty good job with his site where one can always find interesting links to visit. The widely traveled 32-year-old used to live in Islamabad six years back before moving to the USA where he is currently a graduate student at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

5. Pakistani Perspective

www.pakp.com
The mission statement of this blog is as follows: “This site covers the international Internet media on stories and commentaries relevant to a Pakistani audience. It collects views from a wide variety of sources and attempts to present them without bias and prejudice.” The blog entries can be made more interesting if the editor Mudassir Sheikha posts his original remarks besides simply compiling and pasting news items from other websites.
